Hi all my fellow mathematically superior geniuses.... I will be doing BSc Investment and Financial Risk Management at CASS Business School from this September and have to (for obvious reasons) do loads of Maths. In my first year for example i have to study Quantatitive Methods I and II, second year i have to read Business Statistics, Corporate Risk Management (maths for the risk analysis), security analysis, and Mathematical Finance. Third Year will be doing Fixed Income Portfolio Management and and Risk Management of Financial Institutions.
I have only written the topics above that i think will have loads of maths. Now my question is.....is there any books i can buy now that will help me get over my semi-phobia of maths (im not bad at it just feel it will be toooo fast paced for someone who hasnt done maths at a-level.....i also need loads of examples to "get" the formula and am liable to ask "WHY?" very often).
Also how difficult would the maths be? Thanks everyone who replies (below is a link to both the CASS general website and below that is where the syllabus is further broken down..please have a look and comment).
