Couple of easy qs - Air column + Flemings left hand rule

Ok, resitting two of my AS modules this week and there are a couple of questions that i never quite understood.

The first is a standing wave in an Air column; if the bottom is closed, but the top is open, where are the anti-nodes and nodes? And how does this change if the bottom of the column is then opened?

Second question is for Fleming's Left hand rule and the right hand grip rule. Is this for conventional current or proper current? And if so, do you just switch the hands if dealing with the other type of current?
FLHR - always conventional current, so if it gives you direction of an electron, then flip your middle finger the other way around.

For the air column and any standing waves:

- At a sealed end you get a node
- At an open end you get an antinode

the antinode is actually just a bit beyond the open end ( aka end correction)
