Default Should i do this? Chem

I got both my units coming up in a week,
I cant revise for both so im gonna have to do badly in one of them and repeat that one in january for A2

I know its not good but i cant help it :/ im struggling on unit2 so much (chains and energy) I hardly understand anything.
However on unit 1(atoms bonding & structure) im fairly alright so i should get a good grade if i revise for that until the exam but if i revise unit 2 Ill probably only manage to get a c or b.

What do u think i should do?

Also what do unis think of resits liek this?

In my opinion you should try your hardest in both. If you don't understand something you could ask in the chem forum for help but try to be wise and go through each topic ticking them off once you've done and learning them and at least try to do well. Are you planning on doing chem at A2? I wouldn't advise it especially if you can't handle it at AS, no offence, and tbh, with A2 exams going to be clearly much harder it's not looking good. But if you're not then you will probably be able to do well in January if you have to retake. How come you didn't do a unit in January? having both units in the summer will be hard so maybe if you had one in Jan and one in June it may have helped, however it seems like you're just taking the easy route out and saying to yourself you will only try hard/work at/manage the easier unit-unit 1-which shows a lack of effort tbh!
Anyway what do I know.

Your right it doesnt sound like i'm putting in enough effort but i really would revise for unit 2 if i had time :/ well do you think i could revise unit 2 in 5 days and get a B or A? I just dont want to waste my time if i can only get a C when i could get an A revising for unit 1 but please tell if i could revise for unit 2? becuase it seems too much for just 5 days when i only know very basic stuff.
Thanks for ur reply and im dropping it next year.

Nah...mate...you know you've left it too late-god knows why you didn't start it weeks ago.
and tbh, let's not be too confident here on getting a C; as if you don't know your stuff you're more likely to get a D/E/U like many of my peers who felt they did know their stuff and did well but the mark scheme was quite strict with them and they only got said grades.
Good on dropping it I think that's a wise decision-and it will give you a chance of retaking it next January with a more wiser/maturer head on you hopefully
Just make sure you know everything in vast detail to get that A/B next Jan as even if you do well in unit 1 your unit 2 will bring it down so you may be getting a result in August that is quite low overall-however hopefully your unit 1 will be good and then when you take your unit 2 in Jan your overall will be better.
good luck.

Trust me you want to do well in your AS units, the A2 units are much harder to understand a get a good grade for so try and avoid re-taking an exam so next year your sole focus should be A2 exams.
