A Level English Literature, board Edexcel.

This Year - Othello, Iago is fascinating; The Tempest, love it; Translations, synoptic comparison to The Tempest, should be fun; Edexcel Poetry Anthology, pre-1770; Capatin Corelli's Mandolin, better finish it.

(Last Year- Henry V, bit boring; Hardy's "Return Of the Native", love it;Translations, quite good; and poetry after 1770.)

    Lit / Lang / Lang L: Lit
    Level I'm taking: AS
    Board: AQA (B)
Set books / work / topics: Tempest, 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, The Spire & Philip Larkin. (the exam board - or our teachers i guess - are obsessed with sex this year! all the phallic imagery in the spire, sexual references in larkin's poetry, incest in 'tis pity - it's ruining all other books as i can no longer read them without reading too much into innocent phrases!)
