We had already thought of the worst case scenario; a ridiculous coalition of the whole left-wing, if we had thought you would have be so desperate to do that, we surely would've accepted Dayne's offer of a coalition. But we didn't, knowing that in terms of ideology we're more compatible with the Libs, which is what is important. Given Alasdair's reaction and some of the stuff you guys came out with in your newspaper (whether it's tongue in cheek or not is irrelevant) I can scarcely believe that there is no element of spite involved.
Any questions to the Conservative party should be asked here, either I will answer within a few days or one of the Tory MP's will respond to your question. Sometimes a Tory member will offer a personal opinion on a topic which has not been discussed in our sub-forum, this does not neccesarily mean that that is the party line, simply that the issue hasnt been debated yet.

I personally am against coalitions and party politics in general (admittedly there is no other way than party politics in this house) and especially against PR.

Then let them ADMIT that. Let them admit to being ******* Socialists. When I see that I will stop protesting. I don't understand why you can't accept that there is a real, non-personal reason why left-wing parties would want to keep a right wing party out of dominance, and that a good reason to form a coalition is to advance the agendas of the individual parties as well as the broader group.
