EDEXCEL MATHS GCSE LINEAR - [exam on monday] what formulas do we need to know?

Hi, I am doing EDEXCEL GCSE Linear Maths calculator exam on monday.. I know we get a formula sheet but not all formulas are provided on the formula sheet. What are ALL the other formulas we need to know that are NOT given to use on the formula sheet?

If someone could be kind enough to make a list of the formulas we need for the exam on monday, I would be very grateful!

Thanks

thanks  But what is standard deviation and trig identities?

Is trig identities SOH CAH TOA?

thanks

yess.
standard deviation is
you need to know how to work out angles using sine n cosine rule annd area of sectors and length of sectors annd the surface area of a cylinder....

Sine rule angle = SinA/a = SinB/b = SinC/c
Cosine rule angle = CosA = b^2 + c^2 - a^2 / 2bc
surface area of cylinder = 2 Pi R(radius) H(height) x 2 Pi R^2
Area of sector = angle/360 x Pi R^2
Length of Arc = angle/360 x 2 x Pi x R
Area of segment = Area of sector - Area of triangle

annnd thats about it i think

^ That's standard deviation? I have never seen or heard of this topic :O
Are you sure it's in the specification for my exam?

Thank you but I think they give us sine rule, surface area of cylinder and cosine rule on the formula sheet? Thanks for the rest thoughhh

nahhh they give you area of cylinder and they give you the sine n cosine rule to work out the length of sides but not the size of angles but your welcome:smile:

you're joking, i have never come across standard deviation in my life.
its not even in my textbook, are you thinking of the right syllabus? :s-smilie:

yes... its just a fancy name for a statistics problem..
do you know how to find mean?? this is just abit more advanced
i thought standard deviation was A level work?
I don't recall standard deviation being in calculator maths. If it is I better start revising it for monday. And here I was thinking I defeated it once and for all when I had to do it statistics in year 10 :frown:

okay, thanks, muffin man

Also, thanks everyone else for posting but I'm sure standard deviation is not something that will come up in my gcse calculator exam since I have never heard of it lol.. correct me if I'm wrong though.. lol thanks guys

yeah i can find a mean, just not with all those funny symbols! eh, i'll survive. no point in learning anything completely new at this stage.

Standard Deviation is only in GCSE Statistics, not GCSE Maths, so you don't need to know it

just the basic the main ones are on the front page, well for igcse anyway

Okay, thanks
when it says EDEXCEL MATHS GCSE LINEAR - what does linear mean in this context (student's thick mother) x
