Or any possibility to make graduate entry programme and taking some goverment loans? I dont know what I must do: cry or be happy...

According to this it's unlikely you would be granted support from SAAS - http://www.student-support-saas.gov.uk/student_support/international_students.htm. What about trying medical schools closer to home?

Anyway I thought you were going to do vet med??

yes, but plans was changed. No closer to home, i dont want. what about student finance england company? In this case can i take from them loan for 5 year course? I am EU student.

I know you are an EU student, but to qualify for student loans you need to have been resident in the UK for three years.

However, everyone has different circumstances and you really should be contacting the student loans company direct to find out how it applies to you. http://www.slc.co.uk/contact%20us/index.html

It's even harder to get funding for a second degree in Medicine. I am Scottish, and still I can't get funding for graduate entry Medicine. I have to hit Natwest. Still, it's a tough life but someone's go to live it.
as a EU student you are entitled to the tuition fee loan but not to the maintenance...

i will tell you a long, long story..
long, long ago...
I finished in poland veterinary technical school, i decided to go to biovet after that, veterinary med.but something changed in my life in my mind, i decided to apply to medicine. it was too late for england, i decide to go to Ukraine for medicine, but there normal life is too difficult for as, and i applied for transfer to medical school in englad, they rejected. i was thinking that will be end.. My friend who is studying biomed in london, also polish gived me an idea to transfer to biomed , after that start to medicine. i emailed to universities, lot of them are agree to take me from ukraine, more than half want take me in 2010, but aberdeen proposed me today that the can take me in 2009 onto 2nd year. After that i want go on medicine. how you are thinking?

Hmm...interesting situation. I think you should take the offer for Biomed, but obviously you will need to contact the student loan company (which I linked to previously). They are the only ones who will really be able to tell you what you are entitled to. Everyones circumstances are different.

You have to be resident in the UK for 3 years for non-educational reasons before you might be eligable for 'home' help... Doing a biomed degree is a) educational and b) does not mean you will get an offer to study medicine here. Why do you want to change your degree course when you are already studying on a medicine progamme? It's a fairly large gamble...
I have absolutely no idea what the OP is saying.

Sorry but to the best of my knowledge you have to be a resident in the UK for 3 years for non-academic reasons

a) Why is it impossible to stay in Ukraine?

b) You won't be a home student after three years in Scotland. You are there to do a degree only.

c) Where did you hear all this from anyway?
But she will be able to get a loan for tuition -.-!!!

this mean i will not have problem to take a Saas for aberdeen, agree?
later i will spend three years in UK, studying, yes?
in meantime i will work
after graduation i want to do medicine 5 or 4 years
and now question: after 3 years in UK i will be resident?
or when i will in meantime work and aftergraduation i will work, can i be migrant worker or resident???
c) we have a lot of polish students, in UK... we have forums also, socities....

Dagak, what is it exactly that you do not understand? I have answered several times. I will tell you again -

1) You are NOT a home student. A home student is classed as a resident of the UK. This does NOT include the EU. If it did, the student finance system would collapse because everyone would be coming to the UK to do a degree.

2) To be eligible for SAAS, you need to have been resident in the UK for three years, for non-educational purposes. This would mean you moved here with your family, for example.

3) After three years of studying in the UK, you will still not be a resident. Sounds unfair, maybe, but I am Scottish, doing a degree in England, but that still doesn't make me an English resident after three years. I will still be classed as Scottish for student finance purposes, meaning I can't get an NHS bursary. Fact.

4) Yes there are a lot of Polish students in the UK, but what difference does that make? There are lot of African, Asian and Hispanics too...

I'm sorry to sound harsh, but you need to find out the facts properly and look at your options. If you keep hoping that things will work out despite it, and disagreeing with everyone, you will get nowhere. Its hard enough for home students doing graduate Medicine, a lot of us have to turn to the banks for high interest loans to get us through. All I can say now is, phone SAAS if you don't believe me. You may get a maintenance loan, as fcksocialism says, but not for tuition fees.
