I got in by winking at the interviewer three times (I had something in my eye). I thought he was gay at the time, but apparently it's a secret Masonic sign. I'd recommend it to everyone here!

Yeah, I think that's the important issue here. I don't think you could ever show that people who use these services wouldn't have got in anyway. If such applicants would have got in without using these services, they're a waste. And if not, then it doesn't say much for their supposed "raw talent" does it?
It's just occurred to me that essentially, those who say admissions consultants cannot work are saying that Oxbridge's admissions system is flawless at selecting the best applicants. If there are flaws, admissions consultants can help you exploit them. I think it far more likely that there are flaws.
