An extended test is a double length (and double cost!) driving test that a court can order you to take before regaining your full licence after it has banned you for serious driving offences.

Unless you've been convicted of dangerous driving or similar, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thats really helpful thanks.
Hi,

Today dsa has removed the testing routes. Has anyone saved test routes for the reading area?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

At long last

Looks like you'll have to learn to drive instead of learning the routes. The routes have changed for independent driving so the old routes won't be of any use.

Even if someone saved them, a lot have changed anyway to implement the changes necessary for independent driving. Ask your instructor to raise your confidence in other ways than trying to learn routes.

This site pretty much seems to have copies of all the old routes. Obviously things changed with the new undirected driving section of the test this year but you can still master all the roundabouts and junctions in the area.

DVLA website, you can see all of the possible routes you may go on if you search for your area or something.. I can't remember now exactly where you find them.

Actually, with the new driving test which was brought in last october, they dont publish the test routes any more.
