I started my online tier 4 visa application and I have few small questions :

1.my bank statement is from a shared account with my wife.
The amount of money I have is sufficient according to the UKBA standards
(10,000 pounds + tuition fees)
I am wondering if I need to bring any marriage certificate or a letter from wife with a permission to use our common funds.

2.my previous passport had been stolen in Argentina,
I filled in the details regarding the stolen passport,
but should I translate the police report (from Spanish) about my stolen passport?

Thank you very much for your help, I would be happy not to waste time and money on useless translations on the one hand,
But not to take a risk that my visa will be refused on the other hand.

According to my view,
1. Yes it will be better to have both of them with photocopies.
2. If you can translate it by a recognized institution then that is good.
because its better to let them know.

I just submitted all of the papers including the bank statement two days earlier. but I received a call from the embassy to submit un updated bank statement (the one I submitted it only 2 days old) ,, so I started to worry now. because The fund is in the account for almost 10 days only not 28 days and I can't wait more days because I need to be in UK ASAP. any body went through this?

I have a question about vaccinations. I have received a welcome letter from the university where it says that I need to have vaccinations against Meningitis C and Hepatitis B before I arrive and check for tuberculosis before I apply for visa depending on what country I am coming from. I can not find any information about if I need to check it. I am from Ukraine. Does anyone know where can I find some information about it?

I couldn't find anything about vaccinations but you don't need a TB test coming from the Ukraine. It's only these countries according to (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/vi...info/applying/):

It says that Ukraine is among The additional countries that will be covered by the pre-screening pilot

I do not quite understand what that means

Couldn't find anything to suggest that inclusion of the additional countries has been rolled out yet (though the article you found did mention the summer). But it's probably best to contact the British Embassy in the Ukraine to check and see if your application will fall under the expanded pre-screening pilot.

Please help. I'm american applying in the us in NY and just received this:

"A decision has now been taken on your UK visa application.
Your passport will be dispatched from the New York office and will be delivered by UPS"

I'm worried that I was rejected... I didn't provide any supporting document because I'm low risk being a US citizen. I'm freaking out... Please help US applicants or anyone that went thru the same. Can they deny me before asking for supporting documents? If so wouldn't the email say: your visa had been denied??!

I'm thinking that means you've been approved. Because if they wanted the proof they'd contact you and ask for it since you are low-risk. So if you received that email on July 16, you should have your visa today July 17. Hope it is as I assume it is!

YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!! I basically haunted the UPS mail man!!!!!!! and surprisingly enough my passport was in there with the visa and I did not provide them with any supporting docs (no bank accounts, no letters, etc...) GOD IS GOOD.

So my advice to American or Low risk students: don't sweat small stuff like me... just follow the rules and the process will be seamless!!!!!!

Has anyone from Canada (low risk) submitted a visa application recently and been asked to provide supporting documents?

My funds won't have been in my account until August 10th, so that's the earliest I can apply, and I'm hoping to leave for the UK the first week of September... I'll probably pay for the priority service too. I'm just wondering, even though I'm low-risk, if I should bother including my financial documents... I really don't want to be faxing/mailing back and forth with New York trying to get this sorted out, but I also want my application to be processed as fast as possible?

What is the process for sending in the extra documentation?

I'll be applying from Edmonton, btw.

I was just wondering a couple things: Since I'm from Canada would I be automatically considered as a low-risk student? Also did you send ANY supporting documents or just applied with the forms and your passport?

I'm nervous about my appointment because I don't have my transcript OR a birth certificate with my parents name on it.

if you are a low risk student, you just have to send the visa application form V something and say on it that you have to documents (letter from parents or Loan etc...) and that you will provide it upon request etc... it's not hard. I sent mine by mail and mailed my passport back in 6 business days. It is very fast and don't be panicked. just give them what they asked... not too much not too little.

3 questions:

- A level results dont come out until 13th August, that means i cant get my CAS until probably a day later.. my course starts on the 11th of september, so i hardly have a month for visa applications :s am i doing something wrong here? :s

- i live in Uganda, so as i saw on a post above, i need a TB test, so all i need is my test results from any hospital?

- is there some sort of list of the top 10 problems or issues behind why people are refused visas?

I entered the country as a diplomat as my parent was a diplomat...and in around April when my visa was about to expire... to extend my stay for studies I applied for the tier 4 visa ... recently i received a letter from the border agency that says


In order for you application to be considered please provide evidence you no longer qualify as an exempt official

1. What is an exempt official ???
   
2. What evidence do i have to send ????
