Help- A level exam- missed it.
I very stupidly thought my exam was pm instead of am, and was late to the exam- very late. I was allowed to take the exam, and told they'd write a letter to the exam board, but they might not accept it. I really need an A and am pretty sure I actually got 98-100% in the exam
What's gonna happen now? Is there anything I can do?
Sorry if it's in the wrong section, I'm using someone's account, and wanted to post anon.

I'm not the type to cheat, and the school knew this, which is why the let me take the exam and give it a try, but i really really hope it's still accepted =\

oh dear. Now I'm all paranoid that my p.m. tomorrow isn't ...

Make sure you point out you weren't in contact with any of your friends, on in the internet etc in the morning. Maybe get your parents to back you up if you were at home?

might look at what you got in the other modules and see whether your mark is consistent..if you get 100% in the exam you were late for, but 60% in another, it may look a bit suspicious...

Do the school send the paper off that night?

    How late were you?
Hopefully they will understand that mistakes do happen, do you need the subject for university?

Yep. You're probably f'ed. sorry. Someone in one of my classes missed the AS exam and cannot progress to the second year in that course, and now must either do the first year again or do the exam in January.

ohh mann, i feel bad for you. perhaps speak to a person of authority within the school and ask them what to do, perhaps suggest that you can write a letter of apology that gets sent along with it.

I really hope you get allowed.

but I'm in A2, so that's my final chance- and I took the exam anyway, it's just a matter of whether they mark it or not...

A guy turned up to our Biology exam almost an hour late, only had like 25 minutes to do the exam, and he'd got full marks on results day.

Shall i write a letter of appology now?
The head-teacher is writing a letter of explanation to the exam board, but I don't know how lenient this is going to be at all...
    what usually happens?
