Well that statement implies a correlation between intelligence and GCSEs and A Levels. I believe there is one, but others may disagree.


I think it depends on the subject.

I do Applied ICT (Or rather, just finished). 5 of the 6 modules are 100% coursework. I wouldn't say intelligence helps you that much, IMO the more time you through at the subject, the higher your grade. The exam allows you to take in notes and is pretty much a copy relevant sections from your notes into the exam paper, type of exam.

I also do Physics, Maths + F.Maths. This is where I agree with you. Your final grade in these subjects depend on how intelligent you are. Some people are naturally gifted and will do well without much revision. Other people will revise for weeks and get an E.
