UMS/Raw marks change? how large

How large can the change raw - UMS mark between papers get? Do they only change between one or two raw marks or are they usually greater?

How large can the change raw - UMS mark between papers get? Do they only change between one or two raw marks or are they usually greater?

The goal is always for consistency of difficulty so normally only a few marks either way, but when they get it wrong it can be huge. Edexcel M1 Maths in January was 49/75 for 80 UMS.

It depends on whether the committee think the exam was hard are or not. They apparently try and keep it consistent but thats obviously not the case as illustrated above.
