Do you think (McDonalds) is not accepting you due to bad hours you've listed during your application.
I listed some bad hours when I could work and got rejected. I've applied again with of a better understanding of when I can work, meaning that I could work longer hours and more days.
Hopefully I'll get in, if that doesn't work, then they've probably just employed someone else, over you/me?

I applied a month ago and they said 'After careful consideration, blah blah blah, we've decided to deny your app', that being said, the status of my application turned to "Close". They will usually (From experience ) email you a rejection email.
I've just applied again to another McDonalds in my area, as there are 4 McDonalds which have vacancies, now just need to get a job in one of them!!!

I don't know what they're doing because they have now changed it back to 'application recieved' with no jobs being held under that ID anymore, so it seems as if they have closed it to potential applicants whilst they consider the ones they now have

Hmm. Perhaps you can go into the McDonald's you applied for and ask to speak to the manager or phone them? All my McDonald's in my area have a website which has contact/email details, perhaps you can find their website, if they have one? But meh, I don't know! Good luck and I hope you get in whatever happens!
I have an OJE/Interview next week at Mcdonalds! What should I expect?
A mate of mine says they will probs get me to hand food out at the drive thru, what do you say to the customer? Do you say what the order is then give it to them and say thank you?
Also what kind of questions will I be asked?
thanks
I love how most of the people posting on here probably haven't even known anything about working for the company and constantly criticise it, but probably eat the food.
They will ask you a few questions about yourself to find out how you work and whether you work well as a team etc. The second part of the interview will require you to do a bit of a job, like go onto the dining area where you'll be clearing tables and dealing with customers if they ask you to, but you may not be there and may be at the drive through. It's nothing to worry about too much and nothing you can prepare for. Usually they give people the job after the interview, it's just a formality and to check whether you can work in the environment. The problem is getting the interview in the first place (believe it or not the majority of applicants get turned down for maccies jobs )
Its McDonalds, Chimps could do the job if animal welfare didn't object.
I can still bet most people would end up in tears after a busy day behind the tills. It's not as easy as people seem to presume. Granted the knowledge involved is not exactly rocket science, the rest is quite tough, especially having good customer service which most of the staff, sadly, lack.
Tell them that your lifelong dream has been to work at McDonalds. If they're still not convinced, sleep with the interviewer. Dont think about it, just close your eyes and DO THE DEED!
