Resting heart rate of 35-37 bpm

Hey,

About a week ago I started trying to get my fitness up after a looong period of laziness due to school and exams. However, when I went jogging, I got this massive headache after about 30 min of running. Since we've had aneurysms run in the family, my parents sent me to see a neurologist, but as I had an MRI taken 2 years ago and all seemed normal then, the neurologist didn't think anything was badly wrong.

In the end he prescribed me Orloc (5mg Bisoprolol, a beta blocker) to prevent the headaches by lowering my pulse rate. For a few days now my resting pulse has been between 35 and 37 bpm (taken in the morning before I take the medicine). Is a resting heart rate this low something I should be worried about?
Firstly can't headaches be caused by dehydration. Did you take on plenty of water before and during your run? Secondly 35bpm sounds very low. Bradycardia is a bpm of less than 60bpm but is often considered normal if you have no other symptoms, do you have any other symptoms?

never odd or even

I initially thought the headache could have been about dehydration, since I probably didn't drink enough water before the run. However, when I went jogging again after about a week (while on Orloc), I made sure I drank enough, but I still got the same headache after about 30 min of running.

The symptoms are a bit problematic as I find some of them a little hard to detect. Yes, I feel tired every now and then, but I don't know if it can be classed as fatigue? Though I did have this weird feeling two days ago, when it felt like everything was happening really fast (even if I was intentionally moving for instance my hand really slowly). It lasted for like 5 minutes and then disappeared just as quickly as it'd showed up.
Not being a doctor myself I would say that the best advice I could give you would be to go to your GP and tell them you're worried about it. Chances are you'll be fine and it will put your mind at ease.

right Id go get this checked out. Beta blockers can cause bradycardia so its possible that youre experiencing side effects from them.

whilst many people have HR<60, having one as low as 35BPM without having an olympic athlete level of fitness (I take it youre not) is just not normal.

Its entirely plausible that your headaches and fatigue are also caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain and the rest of the body due to the bradycardia. Whilst Im not going to tell you to stop taking them because that would just be negligent on my part, if it was me, and it had just come on since taking the meds I would strongly consider stopping taking the medicine and get my arse over to the specialist ASAP
unless you are a whale, this isnt normal! go to your doctor!

though as it's cause by the medication it's probably nothing to worry about/can be sorted out.
