Mascara Tricks & Tips

Some stuff I have picked up through my time using Mascara
Always apply mascara after you finished applying rest of your make up

Take time when applying mascara
Initally I used to slap the mascara on my face, and it used to look shabby and clumps would form, when you take your time you cane make less mistakes and make your eyelashes look top notch!

At the base you wriggle
Wriggle your wand at the base, to create a more Va Va Voom look, many females make mistakes by just stroking the eyelash.

Vaseline
This might sound weird, but vaseline is excellent for finishing off your look, and is almost like a glue (espically if your using two mascara's),makes it seem more solid, and loads of volume

Comb!
Comb your eyelashes, it is vital.
Combing them will make them separate, and look natural.

Dry
When I let my mascara dry , and apply another coat....
It seems to flake off.
I apply it all whilst my eyelashes are wet.

What are your Mascara Tips & Tricks?

tbh. I tend to curl mine and then put the smalest bit of mascara on ever. I've had people load my eyelashes with mascara and I really don't like it. I feel it looks unnatural, and it makes my eyes hurt. so I say curl and then minimal coat.

I curl my eyelashes, apply one coat
then go over it with an old mascara brush to comb it
then finish it off with a little hairspray (gently! and with your eyes closed) it'll hold them in position all night!

I use an old (washed) No7 mascara in the bronze tube ("extreme length"?) as a comb to separate the lashes!

One coat is enough for me. Curling them is what makes the biggest difference. And wiggling the brush - it's all about the wiggle.

I have a question!

Basically how do you do the other eye? I mean, I'm right handed and I can do my right eye perfectly alright but how do I do my left eye because either I have to switch hands or I have to twist my wrist around

Can anyone help with this problem?

use eyelash curler and use a hair blowdryer to make the curler hot which gives it a better result

Oohh good tips. I usually wiggle it at the end And then use an eyelash comb to get rid of any clumbs there may be.

Ooh I do the hairspray thing! It's amazing stops your make-up from looking panda-ish and helps keep foundation on after a night out

Coat the 'top' half of your lashes first (ie. close your eyes and brush downwards). May not work so well if you curl them, but I find it makes them look far more defined

I just curl my lashes a bit and then apply a coat of mascara. I do the 'top' layer also, and then the normal layer again to ge rid of clumps.

Also helps if you buy new mascara every few months.

Just done the ''wiggle'' - what a difference! . .

Also tried it with two mascara's I got: L'oreal Telescopic and Max Factor false lash = Max Factor won. Got mum's opinion and she said Max factor much better!

With the hairpray thing, do you actually spray it on your face, or into the air and then sort of move your face into the spray? Surely you'd just make your face wet/sore if you sprayed it directly on your face?

I do that sometimes, its an old drag queen trick apparently
I do worry it can't be great for your skin but it doesn't seem to have had too much of a negative effect really.

hairspray on eyelashes may not be such as gd idea, first u may sweat and it may go into the eyes 2. . its toxic, can cause damage As you blink, your eyelashes become a little moist and the hairspray can run into your eyes
