German Studies/Language Studies (German)

What is the difference here?

Is the second German Language Studies, or Language Studies with German? Does this mean there's less emphasis on history and politics etc in Language Studies? Because I went an open day and didn't really like the sound of the German Studies course at all! :woo:

I don't know which university this is, but I would assume that a degree called Language Studies has very little or no history/politics content. German Studies is probably a degree with literature, history, politics, philosophy, other things to do with Germany in it, not just language. Maybe you should also check that Language Studies is not just another name for Linguistics. :smile:
