    Diet plan
Right my aim - loose 2 dress sizes in 2 months cureently 5'3, 169kg (or a size 16)

Brekkie - Porridge with semi skimmed milk, chopped bananas and honey

    break - apple

    lunch - coucous, another fruit

dinner - chicken with salad and veg.

I walk to and from work (3 miles all together) everyday, with 15 mins on a vibration plate and 50 sit ups a day....

    doable?

I'll be drinking water and a can of diet coke with dinner.

Any ideas, or is it ok?

    Thank you!

Forget the situps for now they aren't going to do a thing to your appearance. Add a decent amount of cardio in, 3 miles walking really doesn't count. An hour a days proper cardio, if you aren't sweating it doesn't count.

Don't see the point in having a can of coke.

What are you having the couscous with and how are you cooking the chicken? Also don't you think it would be a good idea to vary your meals so you don't get bored and end up bingeing on something else?

Edit: also skimmed milk could help scrape back a few calories. Aim for about 1500 a day, with about 40-45% of that carbs, 25-30% protein and 30-35% fat. Try and keep saturated fats to below 10% of your total fat intake.

The coke was something to keep me going. I love fizzy drinks so abstaining from them would prolly make me drink more. Plus, fizzy drinks make you feel fuller? (I dunno wheher that is fact but I find it to be)

I'll be grilling the chicken on a George Formen.

I'll prbably have couscous with peppers/tomatoes.

I will vary my meals slightly, like changing fruits and veggies.

    I really appriciate your help!

Maybe try having fish in place of the chicken every so often for variety? Have you looked at low calorie ways of flavouring it, garlic, lemon herbs or whatever? I don't eat meat so this isn't my strong point...

Instead of the couscous you could try having other salady type things have you considered legumes as a cheap and healthy protein source?

Here are some (to varying degrees) low calorie recipes you could consider if you fancy a change: http://www.channel4.com/food/browse....s&keyDefs=true I think having too rigid and boring a diet might mean you are more likely to give up or cheat.

With the coke, fair enough everyone needs their little treats, have you considered making it just every other day you have it, or even just every week? The thing about simple carbohydrates is they give you a quick rush of energy but then you kind of crash, and might end up feeling the need to eat more. Slow release energy ftw, your oats in the morning are great for that

That breakfast has lot of calories in it, but it's definitely healthy and would keep you full for ages so there are pros and cons!

Also I don't see what everyone has against diet coke, it has 0 calories! Drinking fizzy water will help you feel fuller too!

    Re: Diet plan
it sounds all good but the target may take longer to achieve...definately stick at it though as it will make a good difference

it sounds like something i'd like to try actually as it sounds high energy and tasty

it may get boring eating the same thing though so do try and variate things with regards to the fruit/veg/meat ect that you eat

good luck, sounds like a good plan

ETA: eek i've repeated some info mentioned already...sorry about that folks, so yeah totally agreeing with all the advice here

Sometimes she could have pasta salad, or salad with beans and stuff (which also contain carbs) or rice. Her breakfast is all carbs as well.

    Erm...
i thought this as well.. 169 kg, isnt that like 30 stone? honestly don't mean any offence but that's not really a size 16 is it?!

but the diet sounds good anyway, i'm currently trying to loose weight too, tried the special k diet for a week but it was rubbish so i'm back to a similar healthy eating plan to you..
and i have the same weakness for diet coke haha.
    good luck with it!

I'd guess she means 169lbs, not kg.
Good luck to both of you!
