Re: Annoying customers
Once, I was in a chips shop and ordered Doner Kebab meal... some time later it came.... Then I tasted it and realized it was out of date and tasted rubbery. I complained and surprisingly the chef looked at me and said "so what? what are you gonna do about it" (coz I'm a kid) I went proper beserk saying "who the eff are you""your doner tastes as rubbish as your mum's pussy juice" etc... The chef then made another meal with extra wings for coz of that and on top he gave my my money back. Just when he put his doner in the fryer, I was like "leave it! I didn't wanna eat in anyway" and throwed the wings in the dustbin and walked away. End of.

Re: Annoying customers
We shown the england game tonight and had a few customers ask if they could bring a beer into our place and watch the match. Watching the match is no problem but bringing in beer is illegal

At least they were sound about it! Meant I could watch most of the match in peace. Woop -
Re: Annoying customersCaught one guy trying to steal a slice of cake from the baskets the other day. Gave him the eyes. He put it back. Now I give him the evils every time he comes in.(Original post by Dee Leigh)
Interesting thread by the way.
I want to know, has anyone had experiences of customers shoplifting?
I was in the store when a woman had stolen £180 worth or alcohol. **** went down. -
Re: Annoying customersAbout a month ago a man tried to sneak through a fire exit with a trolley FULL of meat. My friend and I just looked at him suspiciously and he bolted through the exit without the trolley.(Original post by Dee Leigh)

Re: Annoying customersYep they do that too where i work(Original post by Dee Leigh)
Where I work the self scan will automatically detect a product which requires 'challenge 25' when you scan, so the customer cannot pay and take the product until a customer assistant checks for ID and authorises the sale.
Either way, they cannot win!
the people are so stupid though, they all come in together and hang around the till and then wonder why i ID them all
challenge 25 ay, do you perhaps work in a supermarket similar to one that i work at? -
Re: Annoying customers
Had my last day of Clintons last saturday - really hasn't sunk in yet >.<
So many memories of rude customers though!
One woman and her son asked me where the dad cards were - so I showed her. Then trying to be polite and friendly I went to her little boy 'is it your daddy's birthday then?' to which he replied 'I'M GOING TO PUNCH YOU!'...charming.
Once at christmas we had this old woman in the shop ask where our religious cards were, I told her that they were in the back of the shop, she then replied with 'OH yes! Because I suppose christmas has nothing to do with the birth of christ! Hide them at the back of the shop!' Well it's not as if I put them there >.>
My favourite customer though has to be one guy that came in who seemed to be suffering with some sort of religious tourettes as after everything he said he would go 'JESUSBLESSYOU' as if it was some sort of tic. He also asked me at the till if I would like to be blessed and gave me a leaflet about a church group that I should attend.
There was also another lady that used to ask if she could pay a deposit and then pay later >.> -
Re: Annoying customers
While serving a customer stood with an overly posh friend:
"Oh I could never work in retail, it seems so degrading and I hear they don't pay the staff well."
Alright knobhead, not all of us were born with a silver spoon shoved up one's derriere. Wasn't even saying it to me, he was saying it to his friend when I was stood right next to them!
I was so tempted to say, "If you could put your Daddy's card in the machine there for us, thanks."Last edited by Aaaaaaaargh!; 25-06-2012 at 18:48. -

Re: Annoying customersDo you work at ASDA?(Original post by Tedaus)
Today we had 3 'Code 100's, which nobody knew what it meant, but then we worked out it was a shoplifter. He threatened the woman on the door with a lighter and threatened to "chin" one of the biggest guys who work for us
-
Re: Annoying customersNo, B&Q haha. Did you have the same thing at ASDA?(Original post by beanstalkgirl_24)
Do you work at ASDA? -

I've sold alcohol, but I haven't has to use Challenge 25 yet...I guess it would be a bit awkward because I look like a 15/16/17 year old! Oh well...it's part of my job. -
Re: Annoying customersYep.(Original post by Tedaus)
No, B&Q haha. Did you have the same thing at ASDA? -
Re: Annoying customersAh no i'm at morrisons.. we use challenge 25 too and the amount of people who complain that they're clearly over 18 or well old enough but look under 25 is crazy! A lot of people say 'im probably older than you' which they likely are (im 18) which makes me laugh, like you said, it's all part of the job(Original post by Dee Leigh)

As there is no annoying sales assistant thread
....
I hate it when you buy a magazine and the cashier starts reading it as they put it through the till.
When you have loads of shopping and they ask you if you want a bag. No, I'll carry my full weekly shop on my head.
When the cashier stops putting your things through to chat to the one behind them. You're sat there with your single bag, waiting to put the shopping away whilst they chat.
This was sent from TSR's iPhone app, as I couldn't be arsed to turn on the laptop. -
Re: Annoying customersFYI this is compulsory at many supermarkets, don't shoot the messenger.(Original post by Lazaroo)

But a lot of people (myself included) use their own bags now, so this is a perfectly valid question.... -
Re: Annoying customersWe have to ask it, how do we know you haven't got a bag of your own. A lot of people bring their own now.(Original post by Lazaroo)
