The TSR Pokémon Society has finally reached its second thread!
Leaders: Jangrafess, theredsox, Jonah Ramone, Eru Iluvatar.
This is the thread for any pokémon related discussion, whether it be about the anime, card game, video games, manga, or how sad we all are for still (yes, still) liking pokémon.
Currently, the society has a challenge ongoing in which we take the role of gym leaders and challengers. This takes place through the DS games, and the rules are simple, and as follows:
Oh, and for everyones information, my DS has been 'borrowed', and i have no idea who by, which is why i wasn't able to get those pokemon yesterday, or start being a gym leader.
Ah **** bro, I thought you'd given it up for some reason, then you didn't correct me over the last few days when Denny and I were talking about it in the first thread. It's still yours then I guess and Denny will have to choose another.
I'd not checked the thread. Sorry about that. Hmm. I would say he can have it and I'd take on dark, but I still haven't even got a houndour and I've already bred all the Pokémon for this, I just needed the right natured Rotom to start ev'ing them up.
Fair enough. I've nearly finished my Bug gym. Just need to work out a seventh and eighth pokémon really, and work out what a thematic wildcard could be. Any ideas on that? I'm sort of wondering if I can sneak Celebi in as the Guardian of the Forest. 'Cos forests contain bugs. Innit.

Drapion? Bit obvious I guess, but it did used to be a bug type
Tenuous link there Surely you could have Kabutops or Omastarr, they are like, prehistoric water bugs. Or as paddy says, a Drapion might be a good call. I still don't have a wildcard on my ghost team, I'm failing to think of anything that would fit. Aside from trying to have a dark pokemon and saying "it's the same colour as a ghost pokemon"
Maybe I'll let Denny Crane take the ghost one and do Dark instead, though it'll take me a while to get it sorted.
I already have the last two anyway (if I use Drapion) and I could easily fit the Crawdaunt into my Water gym. Again, there's no wildcard there, but I could swap one in later if I think of something that would count. This does however mean I need a Houndour from you Jangra (which I guess is easier than the right natured Rotom) but I would have to spend ages getting an Adamant natured Larvitar cos the one I was working on before I don't think I have done properly.
If Denny wants the Ghost gym then I'll happily let him have that and swap to Dark for my third one.
If i didnt get the private message about this new thread in my email i guess i would have trained those pokemon for nothing or maybe me and jr would've had an elite-four-like duel to see who gets it. lol. buts since his team is complete and mines isn't then its all good. ummm I'm not really sure which type i can go with next because the ones I'm good at are already taken. I'm looking into dragons but there arent many choices to make a versatile team so starmie says hi. anyways.......ill look into whats left and see if what i can do. if i dont reply by tuesday then i havent come up with anything. and flygon could be a good wilcard for the bug gym.

Gawd damn. None of the remaining types appeal to me.
I don't really like Kabutops or Omastar. And yeah, Flygon works, considering it looks really buglike and whatnot. I'll go with that then, considering I've got an EV trained one set up already.
Right, so Denny can have Ghost if he wants and JR takes Dark. (Denny, JR's not completed the team, just bred for the level ones with the right natures.)
I can provide a Houndour or even an EV trained Houndoom if you want? I think breeding mine will produce Nasty Plot as an egg move but I can't remember its gender.

And Ice is all yours, padman.
Yeah, let Denny have Ghost and I'll do Dark. I think it might actually be a more interesting gym for me than Ghost anyway. What nature is the Houndoom you have EV trained and which stats did you train it in?
If it wasn't for the fact Ice has so many weaknesses it'd be a really fun gym.

I shall check.
It's Timid, with Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Nasty Plot and Roar. Not amazing stats at level 50, but then again, not many Houndooms will have amazing stats at any level.

Up to you, dude. You have about a week to decide, as that's when I invade your hometown.
I need to train the current pokémon I'm working on above level seventy before it learns a move. I'm keeping it a slight secret for now as it'll be an integral part of my challenge team.
