What does JCR stand for?

Yes, I know its a daft question but I have tried to find out and I just can't find anything which tells me what JCR stands for!

Just to add that it can refer to the actual room or to the collective body of undergraduates.

Technically it means Junior Combination Room, though I've never really understood why.

It's only combination room in Cambridge, as far as I can tell it's always common room in Ox.

I'm not trying to be rude here but if you do a google search for "define:colondollar:word" where $word is the word you want to be defined then that usually works :biggrin:
eg
