I'm very tempted to re-play ff10 and then ff10-2 as they are by far my favourite games.....but i have ff8 and ff9 unplayed which i really should play but cant seem to find the time

would anyone recommend playing them before i re-play 10 and 10-2 again? or just play them afterwards?

Is there any update on when the HD remake of FFX will be released? I feel like replaying the game but I've lost my old copy of it for PS2 so I thought I'd just wait and DL the new version on my brothers PS3. Only it's taking ages =(.

I wish they would show image examples or give more details on the FFX remake already. I was going to pick up MGS3 HD Collection but it runs just as good on emulator and upscaled they looked the same (the PC version looked better in areas) and considering MGS3 requires a lot more in terms of your processor than FFX, I don't know whether X HD remake is worth picking up unless they add something more to it.

I think it's unlikely they'll add anything except trophies to FFX HD. It's not generally how these HD ports go. They are typically the exact same game but in a higher resolution. Still, maybe Square Enix will do it differently. I don't think they've released any HD ports yet (not of any PS2 games anyway), so maybe they'll do it differently to other companies.

Finally got XIII-2 on order. I'm actually really looking forward to seeing the changes they've made to what was a good but massively flawed game.

I liked it on the premise we get a threequel, if we don't then it's unfulfilling. Even after the Lightning DLC ending.

One possibility is that they're actually renaming and adapting it to FFXV. Apparently that's similar to what happened with FFIX. It was going to be a spin off title to begin with but then they decided to make it a main series FF game.

I'm not up to date on the Final Fantasy games but was just wondering, is there going to be a new final fantasy game out this year for the ps3? Upon (google) it all I hear is rumours that another game was cancelled, nothing on a new one then?

There won't be anything out this year. There will supposedly be an announcement regarding the next Final Fantasy XIII project on 1st September. There are rumours that Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been cancelled, and there are also rumours about Final Fantasy XV but there's been nothing confirmed yet.

Well, there already has been a new FF game out on the PS3 this year, FFXIII-2. But no, there isn't going to be any more this year. FFXIII-3 is expected to be announced in September but the game won't be out for a while.

Is it worth playing FFXIII-2 if I haven't played XIII? Couldn't get through XIII, the game was so boring and it didn't improve after 6 hours so I sold it.

The FFVII remaster for PC looks interesting.. and stupid. Can't imagine it looking much better than the current VII with all the graphical and texture mods.
