Question for any med/cardiology students re: cholesterol.
I had to get bloodwork done a week ago as part of an Immigration medical, and the report came back with all normal levels, except for my HDL cholesterol, which was slightly elevated.
At first I was concerned (as I'm generally in very good health with a low BMI), but then I remembered - isn't HDL supposedly the "good" kind of cholesterol? So I was wondering, are there any negative consequences of having elevated HDL, or is it something I don't need to concern myself with?
