Default Optom route

hey!
ive applied for optom..but as the days draw in i'm becoming more and more nervous as to whether my results were adequate enough for me to get into optometry.
However if they don't reach the requirements..i wonder if anyone knows any routes to get into optometry as i really want to do this course and no other.
Help?

Hey, I did a foundation year at Cardiff Uni to get into optometry, so you could do this or just resit your a levels if you don't do as well as you'd hoped?

hi, theres someone i know who works at specsavers and is going through the career development programme to become a dispensing optician (which takes at least 3 yrs i think) and then after that she can do an intensive year at bradford to gain an optometry degree. so thats another way, but i think its a bit more drawn out.
