    shall i stop taking my medicine?
    hey... on thursday i went to the doctors and they said i got urine infection... and she gave me some medicine for it... on the leaflet it says that i should stop taking the medicine if i develop any side effects... which i have.. quite a few of them too... so should i stop taking the medicine? im scared itll make the bacteria change type...

    it also says to tell the doctors right away... but the surgery is closed... now what?

    Follow the instructions - it's not that hard.

    Side effects = Stop taking and see a doctor on Monday.

    Where's the confusion?

    Well if you think the side effects are worse than having the urine infection then stop taking them, but if not then stick it out and finish the course!

    It depends on the side effects. Get a telephone consultation with your doctor.

    If you stop taking the abx without treating the infection you almost certainly will need to take more.
