Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory keeps freezing!

I bought the game today, but it keeps either freezing or the Pc keeps restarting. I've downloaded the latest Patch for it, but don't have any idea what could be causing the problems. Got any ideas?

That is one of the firs tthings you should check and even if it does, it is always a good idea to turn down some of the detail unless your system is very powerful.

Oh yea definately...

Gfx Card: ATI Radeon 9800pro
1 gig of memory
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ cpu

easily.

Do you notice this with any other games ? Sounds similar to what happens if I overclock my machine a little to far, so it could be a heat issue, I'd be suprised if it were that if it's only this game in particular causing it.
