8:45-3:35 at my sixth form, 8:55-3:40 at the school I was at before, 8:45-3:30 at the school I was at before that, so they're all quite similar. If you mean term dates and such, as a general rule, school starts in the first week of September and ends in the third week of July (but it can vary).

really, thats really early. In Ireland its 9:00-3:45
In France a lot of schools start at 8am, and from what I've heard it's not unknown for schools in America to start at 7:45 or whatever.

    Depends what schools you go
Our school has the shortest school day in the country apparently, loved it.
Monday to Friday 9:00 to 14:25
and In the last year of Sixth Form if you have a free period at the beginning or end of the day you don't have to be in for that free.

Thats not early, I end at 2:45.

    8:30-2:45.

6 hour 15 minute day. Only half an hour shorter than in Ireland though. Its cool because I get home before 3pm every day, and have a long afternoon :p:

Thats a little too short don't you think? 5 hours 25 minutes. How many hours of teaching do you get a day? I get 5 exactly.

Jesus, if only I'd have stayed in England... but my parents moved to France. A Levels would've been damn easy compared to the baccalaureate, and school hours there are 8 AM to 6 PM for the last three years (otherwise it's 8 AM - 4 PM/5PM before that). And what does all the extra work get you when you apply to uni in the UK? Nothing.
