Whats a data card monitor? -- ON LAPTOP....HELP...Hyea well whats a data card monitor and what does it do?
Basically whenever i hit ctrl alt del on my laptop to check what programs are running the data card monitor is always running...When i end task it it goes away but once i press ctrl alt del again its there running...
Could you please let me know what it is...Thanx -

right click on the application, then go to process.
what is the process name?
Thats what i can see......I think the ... means the name a lot longer they just cant fit in the whole thing -

Re: Whats a data card monitor? -- ON LAPTOP....HELP...Datacardmonitor is the program which looks out for a mobile broadband dongle being connected to one of your computer's USB ports. It then launches the connection manager program so you can connect to the internet via mobile broadband...simples
I have Virgin Mobile Broadband which uses Huawei Technologies Co hardware in the dongle. I know that Vodafone use the same hardware and so the datacardmonitor will be there for them as well. I dont know about other networks, although they probably use the same as well.
