I just wrote about all the stuff I had done in my school.

I tried to big myself up as much as possible without lying or making myself look bigheaded. Universities are looking for committed candidates with interest in the course they are choosing.

I've been with the Air Cadets for 5 years and so just waffled on about that..with various awards I've gained and soft skills I've picked up (i.e. time management, team work, leadership, communication skills etc)

Oooh "Discrete Mathematics" sounds exciting!

Slight digression there.
I wrote about how the subject I was applying for interested me, and my achievements inside and outside of school, mostly.

I simply wrote about my interests and goals and how I thought the uni I was applying to would help me achieve those goals. Oh, and I did throw in a bit of self-aggrandizement in the process haha

In chronological order:

What got me interested in the subject at the beginning (a lie tbh... lol).
Work experience I'd done and what I learnt from it.
Academic achievements in related fields and why it would stand me in good stead.
Role in school life (prefect) and community life and why this would help me fit into uni.
My ultimate goal in life and what I plan to do after the course.

Each took a paragraph and that was all I wrote.

Write everything you can think of first, and then you can get rid of all the pointless/irrelevant/rubbish waffle afterwards. The worst thing is if you forget something that is actually quite important.

- what you can offer the university
