Re: Grade Boundaries Discussion :)I'm ususally pretty off but I'll give it a go.(Original post by logic123)
what do you think the grae bounderies will be for CHemistry unit 5 edexcel
and physics unit 4 5 6
chem unit 5 - 50/51 out of 75 fo an A. I really hope its lower than that though as I think that was the hardest paper they've set, but I don't want to be too optimistic.
I wouldn't even bother trying to guess them for physics - I really don't know what to expect, so many mixed reactions?
What do you think the edexcel unit 5 and 6 chemistry boundaries will be like? -
Re: Grade Boundaries Discussion :)AQA? I, and people at my college in general, found them neither particularly hard or easy, so I'd imagine the boundaries would be similar to past years - according to the AQA site that's about 66-70% for an A(Original post by sleekchic)
Do you have any predictions for Economics ECN5 & 6?
Maybe that says something about the clarity of your posts rather than how fully we read them(Original post by Hippysnake)
But you got it eventuallu. Jeez, you're going for med, he's going for Oxford and neither of you fully read my posts....Tsk.

A couple of people at my school found them hard. -
Re: Grade Boundaries Discussion :)There's just no logic to your point.(Original post by Hippysnake)

You just weren't clear enough when you said what you thought the boundaries would be. -
Re: Grade Boundaries Discussion :)Surely unit 5 chem won't go that low? It would be lovely if it did though.(Original post by logic123)
i think UNIT 5 chem = A= 48/75 for an A
unit 5 physics = 52/75 for an A possible slightly lower
unit 4 physiscs 58/75 for an A
unit 6 physics 48/49/80 for an A
Unit 4 physics is out of 60 and unit 5 physics is out of 96 aint it?
How did you find the chem practical and synoptic? -
Re: Grade Boundaries Discussion :)(Original post by Medicine Man)
1 - Nope they havent.
2 - My predictions are almost always wrong. Seriously!
I always overestimate/underestimate by about 4/5 marks almost all the time with bio and chem, but my maths ones are normally 1/2 marks off. Anyway, I'll give it a shot for the A grade boundaries, but remember they will almost definitely be wrong - its just fun doing this!

You could also look at old examiners reports for past papers and try and make guesses too?
Anyway, I only did C3 and C4 for Maths. My guesses are:
A in C3 - 64/65 out of 75
A in C4 - 58/59 out of 75
Bio:
A in 4A - 48/49 out of 70
A in 5B (now this was a damn hard paper) - 42/43 out of 70 (if not lower)
A in 6 (I did the W2 paper and not the coursework option) - 44/45 out of 75
Didn't do AQA chem so I wouldn't know.
Your guesses?
I reckon 50/70 for bio4
44/70 in 5B
and 51/70 in bio6
and maths...
i reckon 60/75 for an A in C4... it shud stay about the same i reckon
