And children also, couples with kids are allocated first, but this all depends on your uni.

Check their websites and it should tell you the order in which places are allocated.

I don't think you have to be married, no. Are you planning on moving in with a friend, pretending to be a couple, or actually moving in with a partner? If the latter, that's probably fine =)

It depends on the College, but it will be harder if you are an undergrad yes. There generally isn't a lot of coup0les accommodation available, and married couples and postgrads get priority. I couldn't get accommodation when I was considering staying on, and i was getting married and had already been at the College 3 years.
