silly ecosystem question :)

right, have to write about the "environmental importance" of grasslands.

So do it just mean the general things like recycling nutrients, providing habitats, space to grow crops etc? wot else is there I can say?
Any ideas plz plz im so stuck lol :frown:

u could write about the importance of plant succession in grasslands in creating a stable ecosystem...

* Regulation - keeps conditions at an optimum for life's continuation
* maintains biodiversity = more efficient nutrient cycling, pest control, climate moderation
* BIODIVERSITY: prairies offers a wide range of niches and feeding areas for birds
*Mongolian Steppes is very biodiverse with more than 3000 species
*Mkomazi game reserve protects 1300+ plant species

So considering I needed to give reference to examples, do u think ive added enough?? lets be honest its crap isnt it :frown:

i dont have ne others that are environmental tho - only the economic importance of grasslands (game reserve, profits go into local projects etc)
