With the EMA form, do I need my school to stamp it or something? Or will the Government automatically check with the school?

You obviously go to the school and get them to sign it. Do you read forms?

you should have received it in the half term, and then not get a payment 1 week or 2 weeks after depending on your school/college system on EMA.

Default How long does it take to actually start getting EMA?

I FINALLY have the silly entitlement letter from EMA after almost 3 months of waiting and now I have to get my school to sign it and contact EMA! How long from this point should I be expecting to wait before I actually start receiving it? I called EMA and they have confirmed that they are willing to give me back payments considering I applied in August however I still have to wait for my school to act

Last year I didn't start getting paid till November - however it was a bad year for EMA last year so I'm not sure about this year. They did backpay me fully though.

No, now the hard part is over, the next step will take 1 week - maybe 2 at the most but you will be getting EMA pretty soon...woohoo!

Thanks for the help - I just hope my school know exactly what to do :P

Also does anyone have any idea as to who I should give it to? I was going to go to reception but I have a very vague memory of a friend of mine mentioning that he went to the deputy head...

Ugh they said yesterday they would "put it on their system" (the school, and by school I mean year 12) but I still haven't been paid

Do EMA do some sort of batch transaction at the end of the week? What is this about cards?! I need answers!

I have never been able to claim ema before as my parents earn too much but i recently moved out into a flat with my boyfriend

it's asking for what we earnt last year but we were'nt in this flat last year so would my household income of 2008-2009 still be based on my parents income as i was living there that whole time

I really don't know about this stuff but I suggest you go ask an authority at your college. You should have a teacher responsible for your EMA.

Did anyone get an EMA bonus for the half term just gone? Or do we only get them for a full term?

In your second year of sixth form college (A2) because we finish early, do we still get summer bonus?
