Computer Science prerequisite

Hi all,
Some of the Maths/Science courses I am looking at have Computer Science Modules/ Joint Honours with Computing.
I haven't studied computing A level and my programming skills are non-existant.

Do computer science courses assume no knowledge and build from the ground up?

Have any of you lot done a computer science degree/joint degree with no 'proper' training beforehand?

Assuming you're taking A-Level Mathematics, you won't need anything more. They'll teach you any additional maths, electronics from Physics and programming. They can't reasonably expect all their applicants to know the same programming language.

I'm starting a computer science degree in September and i haven't done any computing or IT classes. Everything i know is self taught.

Apparrently they start with the basics, but move relatively fast.
