Courses and fees
The support and enthusiasm given by lecturers at the university is something that students highly praised in our reviews. The teacher training was also rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the last Ofsted inspection, confirming its place as one of the best courses in the UK. The courses offer a range of practical and theory based modules to gain an insight into the chosen industry. Work placements are encouraged and the university has strong industry links – something to take full advantage of for boosting the CV and learning in a real work environment.

Travel Information
Winchester has excellent transport links including a direct 1-hour train service to London Waterloo which runs every 20 minutes during peak times. The station is also well-served by trains running to and from surrounding southern destinations such as Southampton, Bournemouth, Brighton, the New Forest among others. The campus is within walking distance of the city centre and is located close to the M3 which provides easy road access to the M25 and M27. Travelling to and from Heathrow and Gatwick airports is easy by both road and train and Southampton Airport is located 15 minutes away by train.
Facilities
The university has been praised by having high quality facilities to help aid with studying, including a 24 hour library. As well as a large stock of books, there is an on – site stationery shop for students to buy essential equipment, including USB sticks. There is also a gym, fitness studio and sports stadium. The university also own The Link Gallery, an arts space open to the public, exhibiting the students work.

Accommodation
All accommodation is in walking distance to the city centre. The university offer a range of on and off campus housing for first year students. These include catered halls, off – campus luxury apartments (which even have a TV and cleaner!) and family housing for couples with children. Safety is held as number one priority by the university, and if students choose to live on campus there are live - in Wardens, on – site assistants and first aiders at hand.

Anime and Manga Society
The Winchester Anime and Manga Society (WAMS) is a group for those who enjoy any type of Anime/Manga, where they can meet like minded people and take part in sessions that disprove the Otaku stereotype (mostly). Whether you're a lover of Shojo, Shonen, Kodomomuke or just Anime/Manga in general come along. Even if you don't really know about them come and meet everyone we are more than happy to explain and pride ourselves on welcoming every new member enthusiastically.
Dance Squad
Dance Squad train every Monday and Thursday for 4/5 hours a week. We compete in competitions throughout the year and also perform regularly at SU events. We will be competing at a competition in March and also on Tour this year. Last year we were awarded 'Best Choreography'. Dance Squad specialise in Hip-Hop but also perform Contemporary, Jazz and Tap when it comes to competitions. We choreograph all our own dances and like to keep everyone involved in the creating process. We like to have fun and socialise as a group, taking things seriously but also having a laugh as we do so.
Dodgeball Society
Dodgeball is a sport for everyone, whether you're a person who is a dedicated athlete or just fancy meeting some new people. Its open to girls and boys and is something just a bit different. We train twice a week Tuesday 6-9pm and Sat 11-1. So if you want to give it a go come along. Feel free to message us on Facebook if you require any further details.
Performing Arts society
Performing Arts Winchester offers its members a real opportunity to do what they love most, whether that is Acting, Singing, Dancing or working behind the scenes, through the four sub-societies with in paw: Let's Act, Let's Glee, Let's Dance and Let's Tech.
Taekwondo Society
Taekwondo sessions at The University of Winchester. Every Wednesday: 17:00-18:45 (Performing Arts Studio 5). Free for the first month, then after you pay something small for the cost of the club.
