A-Level Business StudiesBackground information about studying Business StudiesThe first year is basically the same as GCSE business studies and can become quite tedious because of this. However it does get more interesting in the second year which is focused on large businesses instead of sole traders :/. How will it differ from GCSE?DifficultyNot that difficult (except getting those damn evaluation marks in the exams) but it is difficult to revise the knowledge of the course as there is so much of it and annoyingly, hardly any of it comes up in the exam. WorkloadAverage - just classwork and some revision. Required Individual StudyKeeping up to date with and analysing the latest business news can help the student to gain knowledge which can be used in exam questions. How is it assessed?ExamsFour standard exams for the A level. Mostly short essay style anwsers are required but also some shorter questions and [(easy)calculaions]. What I dislike about studying this subject: There is quite a lot of content to learn so it is hard to be very knowledgable in every section. The exams consist of a few quite long questions which require good exam technique in order to achieve high marks.
