Help:Guide to adding a Recipe

TSR Wiki > About TSR > Editing Help > [[Guide to adding a Recipe]

So you have a recipe you would like to share with others? This page will help you add it to our Recipe Book!

A general recipe article will have at least three sections

 • Ingredients
 • Method
 • Comments section (may be left empty) - to contain tips or advice, nutritional information, cooking and preparations times, opinions on how easy it is to make and how good it tastes!

If you are feeling more adventurous, you could add in extra sections, like an equipment list or split the method and ingredients section up if there are two or more major stages/items to make (such a the pastry for a pie and the pie filling).

Right, so now we know what is needed, let's get on with creating your article.

Step 1

Copy the following text. You will need to page this in to the new articles editing box in a minute. It will create the breadcrumb trail at the top of the page, give you the section headings and add your recipe in to the recipe category.

TSR Wiki > Life > Food and Drink > TSR Recipe Book > Recipe - XXX
----

Ingredients
Method
Comments
Step 2

In a minute, type the name of your recipe in the box below and click "create". You will get to an edit box where you need to paste the text you have just copied.

Add a recipe:

Step 3

You are ready to write your recipe!

Change the XXX in the text you've copied to the name of your recipe.

Under each heading, write the ingredients (as bullet points), the method (as a numbers list) and any comments you want to make.

Then save your article!

Step 4

All you need to do now is add in you recipe to the Recipe Book - if you need help with this, ask in the About Wiki Forum.

Finally...

If you get stuck with any of this, just look at another one of the entries in the recipe book for help, or ask someone for assistance in the About Wiki forum!
