Summary
Afterlife is a new spooky drama on ITV. There has already been one series and a second is due to start in September. The series follows psychic medium Alison Mundy and her attempts to deal with the spirits that haunt her. In doing so she meets sceptic psychologist Robert, a university lecturer who is equally troubled.
Series One Synopsis
The series opens with Alison having recently moved, it seems in order to avoid being chased by people desperate for her to contact dead relatives. Despite this she is welcomed to the area by a couple asking her to attend a clairvoyant event. It is here she meets Robert who has taken some of his Psychology students. They develop a relationship throughout the series after Alison reveals she can see his son who died several years before in a car accident. The two of them, throughout the series have to deal with a series of paranormal events. It is also revealed that Alison was in a train accident in which she was the only survivor. In the final episode Alison goes to a seance, which goes badly wrong and leaves us on a cliffhanger unsure whether Alison will end up in the Afterlife.
