From The Student Room

Okay, to start there is a mistake in the title of this thread. i have no real interest in studying english at uni atm.

I'm just beginning to start writing my personal statement but i have found myself over my head. I have a rough idea of what i would like to study and where but putting that into words seems to be the hardest part, obviously. I'm thinking of studying classical civilization w/ or w/o art history at possibly; Kings, Royal Holloway, Nottingham, St. Andrews, York or Goldsmiths. But i'm still unsure as to which uni's are good for these subjects and what would be best to do single/joint honors. I know that nottingham already provides this joint honors degree. In the future i plan to move into law and hopefully become a barrister. I've already taken steps towards this in w/exp and courses as with classics.

I take AS English Lit (A) , History (A) , Classical Civ (A) , Economics (B) and Critical Thinking (B). I'm dropping the last two in A-level. I'm also working towards a Latin GCSE. woo!

Does anyone have any ideas of what uni's are good for either of these subjects or how i should approach my P.S. ?

I've looked online at some in personal statement libraries but tbh most of them should declare themselves insane and 10 years behind academically, but ya know.
