Bars, pubs and clubs

Hartlepool is a vibrant town with a wealth of attractions, which represent a rich mix of the very old and the very new. The choice of pubs and clubs is very impressive. As well as the fantastic offer on the Marina, the town centre also offers a fantastic variety of nightlife.

Middlesbrough offers an energetic live music scene with popular venues like Middlesbrough Empire, Medicine Bar and The Arena, which holds a student SKINT night every Thursday.

Events

Middlesbrough plays host to a number of free events including most notably the Middlesbrough Mela, an event celebrating Asian culture, food and music. Middlesbrough is also host to Intro, formerly Middlesbrough Music Live, which features many music acts performing in Middlesbrough Town Centre.

There is also Middlesbrough Fashion Week and neighbouring Stockon-on-Tees offers the fantastic Riverside Festival and Stockton Calling events.

CCAD events don't come any bigger than the end of year shows! They run at both Middlesbrough and Hartlepool sites and showcase all of the fantastic work of both FE and HE students.

HE students also have further catwalk events as well as attending Graduate events in London.

CCAD offers university level programmes in a dedicated HE campus. In recent years prestigious historic buildings have been acquired and CCAD has expanded significantly and now boasts the Leadbitter, Archive and Municipal buildings as part of the impressive campus.

These locally well known buildings encapsulate the essence of being an Art College as they draw stark contrasts between old and new and put CCAD at the heart of Hartlepool's Cultural Quarter.
