What is Airbus?

Airbus is one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of aircraft - both commercial and military. Over the last 40 years, the company has evolved and grown to the position it holds today. The company pioneered the first twin-engine jet, and launched a new era of aviation in 2007 when its 525-seat 'A380' began commercial flights. Airbus continues to provide quality engineering at affordable prices to a large number of airline companies, in addition to setting new records in commercial flights and maintaining its role at the forefront of technological advancement.

What roles are available at Airbus?

Trainee roles are available in: Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering; Manufacturing Operations; Supply Chain Logistics; Programme Planning; Procurement; Customer Services Engineering and Maintenance; ICT; Finance; Human Resources.

Online applications only.

Entry requirements and type of person suited for Airbus.

Entry requirements vary on the position you are applying for. For example, ICT roles ask for a 2:1 or higher in Information Technology, Business and/or Engineering with an interest in IT or a related subject. 2:2 applicants are considered if otherwise suitable. Engineering roles ask for suitable applicants with degrees in Engineering (Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical), Aerodynamics or Engineering with Maths/Physics.

Some positions require evidence of previous experience in the field.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate team working skills, leadership qualities, and drive and motivation towards a relevant career.

Practical experience combined with personal development schemes mean applicants in all fields will be tailored to their discipline for effective career prospects. Buddy and mentoring systems are also in place to aid with graduate development during the training contracts.
