What were your experiences of the application process?Very long process, my starting date was diferred by 9 months at the last minute. What is it like working for BDO Stoy Hayward? Graduates often poorly utilised. Poor group working across the organisation, both between and within departments. How has it compared to your expectations?The firm is poorly managed, and staff not well paid relative to the big 4. Over 250 employees made redundant in 2009, whereas KMPG for e.g. offered work sharing in the economic downturn. Many graduate training contracts were also violated by BDO on grounds of redudancy - just before ACA examiantions! If you are thinking of an accountancy career, BDO should be bottom of your list.
