ICT familiarises you with using computers for a purpose, which is a skill which is becoming more and more useful in a world with more and more technology.

Course Format

Edexcel

Format (higher tier)

  • Coursework - 60% of final mark
    • Spreadsheets
    • Databases
    • Two other projects of your choice (eg: Web design, presentation, desktop publishing, etc.)
  • Written Paper - 40% of final mark
    • Multiple Choice Questions
    • Questions based on a pre-released case study
    • Questions from other parts of the specification
