Normal Applications

Route A

18th June 2007 - Apply 2008 opens, Applicants can start to prepare their forms

1st September 2007 - Applications can be submitted through UCAS

15th October 2007 - Deadline for applications for Oxbridge and Medical, Veterinary and Dentistry applications.

15th January 2008 - Deadline for all other applications to have equal consideration (and this applies to non-EU applications too)

16th January 2008 - 30th June 2008 - Students can make applications but universities only have to make offers if they still have places available. See the page on Late applications

30 June 2008 - Deadline for all non-EU applications (however you need to apply before 15 January to receive guaranteed equal consideration and, given visa requirements, it is recommended that non-EU applicants try to apply by 15th January wherever possible)

Route B

12th February 2008 - Processing of Art and Design Route B Opens

7th March 2008 - Advisory Deadline for Art and Design Route B Applications

24th March 2008 - Deadline for 'on-time' Art and Design Route B Applications

12th June 2008 - Final Deadline for all Art and Design Route B Applications

Extra

26th February 2008 - UCAS Extra opens

30th June 2008 - UCAS Extra closes

Clearing

5th August 2008 - SQA Results Day

14th August 2008 - A Level Results Day, Clearing Begins

20th September 2008 - UCAS Clearing for 2008 closes
