Useful Verbs - Present Tense

NB- Italian verbs do not necessarily need the io, tu, lui etc because the conjugation tells you who is doing what.

Parlare - To Speak (Reg. -are verbs)

(io) parlo

(tu) parli

(lui/lei) parla

(noi) parliamo

(voi) parlate

(loro) parlano

Finire - To Finish (Reg. -ire verbs)

(io) finisco

(tu) finisci

(lui/lei) finisce

(noi) finiamo

(voi) finite

(loro) finiscono

Temere - To Fear (Reg. -ere verbs)

(io) temo

(tu) temi

(lui/lei) teme

(noi) temiamo

(voi) temete

(loro) temono

Dormire - To Sleep (Other reg. -ire verbs)

(io) dormo

(tu) dormi

(lui/lei) dorme

(noi) dormiamo

(voi) dormite

(loro) dormono

Essere - To Be

(io) sono

(tu) sei

(noi) siamo

Avere - To Have

Andare -To Go (irreg. -are verb)

Dire - To Say / To Tell ( irreg. -ere verb [Note: is an -ere verb because is the short form from the latin "Dicere".])

(io) dico

(tu) dici
