Location

The College was the second to be built, around the same time as Derwent College. It is situated near the centre of Campus, closer to Heslington village than many colleges. It is situated next to Derwent College and the lake, is across University Road from Alcuin College, Health Science and the Chemistry Department and is a short walk from Central Hall, the Language Centre and Vanbrugh College.

Lecture Theatres

A few years ago Langwith Dinning Room underwent extensive building works to transform it in to a lecture theatre. The room is no longer used as a dinning room, but can still be used as a hall because the seating can be rolled and folded away.

In the same building works, a series of smaller lecture and seminar rooms was built in part of the old kitchens. In additions these rooms, Langwith has around 3 or 4 small lecture room some of which are extensively used by the Educational studies and PGCE students.
