MSC Business Scholarship to be won

Win a Postgraduate Business Scholarship worth £12,950

The Student Room in association with BPP Business School is very pleased to offer one Student Room member the chance to enhance their career prospects and earning power by competing to win a free place on a BPP Business School Masters programme.


PLEASE NOTE - Deadline for entry is 31st August.


BPP Business School next to the gherkin in the City of London
The winner will be able to choose from a range of Masters programmes starting in September 2009 either by full or part time, at the new business school next to the Gherkin in heart of the City of London.


The Scholarship will cover the cost of the programme, tuition fees, examinations and campus facilities. This is an amazing opportunity for a high-calibre individual with ambition and ability to further their career.

How to enter

Please write an answer to one of the following three questions:

  1. Nature v nurture: can good leadership be taught?’ Discuss.
  2. 'The death of the square mile: are London’s days as the world's leading financial centre over for good?'
  3. How can companies utilise Marketing within Social Media? – Discuss.

The maximum number of words is 1,500 (including footnotes, if any) Essay above this limit will be disqualified.

All essays must include a declaration of the number of words used.

All quotes must be referenced fully.

The criteria under assessment are;

  • Persuasiveness
  • Clarity
  • Research
  • Structure of argument
  • Content

All essays must include a covering sheet with the following information

  • Questions number one, two or three
  • Name
  • TSR username
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • Course selected.

To apply, please submit your answer along with a scholarship application form and a business school programme application form to;

Essay must be submitted either by post to Admissions, BPP Business School, 68-70 Red Lion Street, London WC1R 4NY or electronically to competitiontwo@bpp.com.

Terms and Conditions

Candidates must take their place in September 2009. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the outcome of the competition.

Candidates agree to the publication of their essay in on The Student Room and on BPP’s website. They also agree to participate in promotional follow-up activity.

This competition is not open to any current employees of BPP Holdings or Acumen PI.
