Sixth Form Personal Statement

I am currently studying for my G.C.S.E.'s at Villiers High School where I am studying the compulsory subjects of English, English Literature, Mathematics and Modular Double Science. In addition, I chose the following subjects: Drama, French, History, Physical Education and Design & Technology. I chose these subjects in Year 10, as I thought I would need these in order to achieve my ambition

After leaving Villiers High School, I plan to study A-Levels at college. At college I hope to study Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Physics. I want to study these subjects because I believe these subjects will help me to fulfil my ambition. Also, I want to study these because I have always wanted to study Science and Maths. My ambition is to go to University and study Medicine; I hope to become a Surgeon or a Paediatric in the future

In order for me to go to college and study these subjects I need to achieve extremely high grades at G.C.S.E. level. My predicted were not what I expected, so when I received them I knew I had to work very hard. For my predictions I achieved eight B's and 2 C's. I was not very pleased with these results, so I decided to do something. Since I received a C in Mathematics I decided to go to Tuition for Maths twice a week. Also, to increase my attention span in class I moved to the front of every class in the hope to enhance my learning

By moving to the front of every class and working very hard I hope to achieve at least 6 A's in the Summer and I think if I start working hard now and revising I will be able to achieve this target very easily. To make sure I stick to a schedule I have started to make revision timetables and I hope to stick to them. When in class, if I do not understand something I always make sure to ask the teacher for help in explaining the theory or problem thoroughly.
