Summer at last! Ice cream is pretty much a must now, so here are a few nice sauce ideas. I will add more, and hopefully others will add their sauce recipes too.

Mars Bar Flavour

Ingredients

• 1 mars bar
• Single Cream (2 or 3 tablespoons)

Method

• Chop mars bar into about 6 pieces
• Melt the mars bar by heating it in a pyrex bowl over a pan of hot water
• Stir in the single cream- keep stirring until smooth in texture
• Pour over ice cream

Licorice Flavour

Ingredients

• 4-5 sticks of licorice
• 2-3 tablespoons honey

Method

• Melt the licorice in a pan over a very gentle heat, being careful not to burn
• Stir melted licorice and add in honey
• Continue to stir and warm through until the sauce is warm
• Pour over ice cream whilst still hot
