What is Geography?

The word Geography can be divided ino 2 parts: 'Geo' means the earth 'Graphy' means to write about or study. Therefore 'Geography' is the study of the earth.

Geography is a subject that can be studied in 3 main ways:-

1. The study of people and their activities is called 'Human Geography'.
2. The study of the interaction between people and their surroundings is called 'Environmental Geography'.
3. The study of the natural features of the earth is called 'Physical Geography'.
